My first car, white Zastava 1100, was assembled in Poland by FSO car factory (Fabryka Samochodów Osobowych) precisely 23 march 1976. This car is one of the first Zastavas ever built in FSO. My Father bought it 1978, when I was a child.

Parallel with Zastavas on this factory was assembled Fiat 128 Sport 3p too. The car had an orginal Italian engine and gearbox. Zastava 1100 is the 5-door hatchback version of Fiat 128. They had been made on the Fiat licence in Yugoslavia (at the present Serbia) by car factory in Kragujevac since 1971. Between 1975-1983 Zastavas were assembled in Poland on The Yugoslav licence too. In 1981 become 3-door hachback, it was called Zastava 1100 Mediteran. It has never been sold in Yugoslavia, but was made there. Zastavas 1100 were sold for example in Italy, as Innocenti. Twenty years ago on the Polish roads were a lot of Zastavas. At the present it's a very unique car, especialy in very good conditons like mine :)
