Let me start at the beginning:

Some time ago (early July 2003) my neighbour and good friend Frans Hage told me about a Fiat 128 sedan that was for sale. The car was owned by an elderly lady and was always maintained properly. The car, at that point, had a mileage of 37500 (app. 60000 km). Because of the enthusiasm of Frans I started thinking...

Frans Hage is a well known Dutch artist and Fiat enthusiast (Fiat-gek). You can see some of his fiat-related work on www.fiatclub.nl (click on Frans Hage). Frans owns a Fiat 128 3p Coupe ('75) since approx. 1980 and has rebuilt several since (not only 128's but also X 1/9), so his vote of confidence in this 128 really weight heavily on the scale...

On the morning of Tuesday the 29th of July we made a testdrive, and seriously, the car drove better and with more fun than our much younger Volkswagen Golf mk II. So much time to over think the deal was not necessary. I bought the car, and have since replaced the timing belt (just to be on the safe side) and fuel hoses (I also added a fuel filter). Everything else on the car is original and undamaged!!!

Some rust on the wheels, and rear struts (?), but nothing we can't handle. (Even the paintjob is original!!)
