"Garagemahal" refers to the large building Nanci and Shaun own in downtown Reading, PA that is used to warehouse their car collection as well as parts, tools, etc. I should acknowledge that the person responsible for the moniker "Garagemahal" is our good friend Brett in Knoxville, TN; he was one of Garagemahal's first visitors and named it that during that early visit. What few realize is that it's not just a warehouse. Before marrying Nanci, Shaun actually lived in the lower apartment for over three years. There is a good-sized "rowhome" building attached to one end of the large warehouse area. Shaun purchased the building needing a lot of work and renovated it while living there between 2003 and 2006. The first floor apartment is well underway and offers 4-bedrooms, 1.5-baths and generous living spaces. Future plans may include finishing a second-and-third-floor apartment as well. All utilities are located in an unfinished basement area of the "house" part of the building.
Of course, Garagemahal is not famous for its apartments. The real magic lies behind that large garage door at the end of the short driveway.
