Re: How are new spider sales doing?

The Fiat 500 Owners site has a monthly post on sales numbers for various models.

The link below shows 160 units sold for the 124 model, I don't know if that includes the Abarth.

Block off the EGR at the exhaust and you can just leave the head pass-through open.
Yep, and if you are lucky enough for the the exhaust side EGR piping to unscrew from the exhaust manifold an oil plug fits perfectly to plug the hole in the manifold.

Re: Follow along as I build a 79 Spider

Another possibility is that at one point the aux shaft got out of sync with a timing belt change. The 2L engine is non-interference except for the fuel pump lobe if the aux shaft is not indexed correctly. It can contact the rod cap bolts on the #2 con rod (if I recall correctly). Typically that resu...

Re: Chasing timing marks

Did you set the distributor to point to #4 at TDC?
And have timing light set up on #1?

Sounds like you could be 180 degrees out.

Re: How many 128 owners in mira land?

Andy, that is a super nice ride. I'm fixing to redo the suspension on my street car. Can you talk a bit more about the rear coilovers? I don't much about them. Chris Hartman said they were built with DIE (DEI?) springs. I'll see if I can snap some pics and post them. Court, I still have a front swa...

Re: 1983

Are you certain its power to the injectors and not loss of spark?

The pick up in the distributor can fail in a way that it works fine cold, but fails when the engine warms up. Too a lot of trouble shooting to figure that one out.
