Re: Small electrical relay?

Nothing mounted in that location on my 81 spider. On my buddies 84 that is where the altitude compensator is mounted, but its a black box about that size, not silver. It appears to say FIAMM on top, a relay for the horns? DO you have a compressor and air horns? Or the electric horns that came on the...

Re: 220 volt AC fan help

James,

The label calls for a 5uF (micro-farad) capacitor.

I would strongly suggest not using your hands/fingers to start the motor. Fingers and fan blades are not a good combo. The capacitor is fairly cheap, about $25. Much cheaper than a trip to the ER for stitches.

Re: 220 volt AC fan help

Russ is right, I too had to repair the outdoor unit on my rental house this summer in 105 heat. $25.00 for a start capacitor had it back in action in less than an hour, tenant was happy. The cap is needed to give the motor a kick to stat turning. A good explanation here: https://www.brighthubenginee...

Oregon 2018 update

It's just around the corner! August 23-26, site opens on Auust 21 for you early birds. Weather is well, a mixed bag. The tempratures should be decent, mid to upper 80s at the event site. The concern is smoke. The event site is at a higher elevation (~4500 feet) and has better atmospheric ventalation...

Re: Getting some time in on the California fleet.

Local preparations for Oregon are underway. I think we might get lucky waether wise this year. Our typical week (third week of July) was extremely hot and the valley was filled with smoke from wild fires in the area. The forecast for our dates start in the high 90s but drop to the mid 80 in town. Th...

Re: Stock Yugo jetting

I think I got the mains and Idle numbers backwards some how.

Mains are 110/97 idles are 50/plug

What carb is this? The accelerator jet I'm used to are a little device that sticks out into the barrel, not just a hole on the side.

Re: Stock Yugo jetting

Uhhh... that's not right.

I'll check again, the Secondary Idle jet was a plug. But 110 or 97 doesn't seem right for a secndary main either.

Um..please hold, your call is important, the next available technicial will be with you soon.....

Re: Stock Yugo jetting

I cant get to the bottom flange to see what model carb I have, 32DATRA I think. But I was able to get the jetting. PRI/SEC 170/250 Air Corrector F22/F46 Emulsion Tube 50/plug Main 110/97 Idle As I was pulling the top off the carb I realized that I did mess with this carb probably 10 years ago. I am ...

Re: Stock Yugo jetting

1100 or 1300 engine? I guess a more direct question is which carb?

I have a stock GVX that I should be able to check the jets on, the car is in the sun and it't been 105 every day, hopefully a bit cooler this evening.
Ill see what I can find.
