Re: Wheeler Dealers 21.1

Wheeler dealers is the last remaining show I watch on discovery/motor trend/velocity. The rest have become stupid dramas as you note. Guys acting like the world will end because an exhaust bend isn’t right, or some dude with a stupid beard putting on prefab parts and cheap body kits. Weak, weak cont...

Re: intermittent starting problem

Did it start acting this way after you replaced all of those parts or before?

High test gas is a waste of money on these engines, super unleaded is just fine.

Re: 124 front suspension questions

1) It has a hump on the later model years

2) I find there to be a reasonable amount of resistance but I wouldn't call it stiff.

Hazard switch trim, early

I need the hazard switch trim from the early console. Like the one attached w/o the switch in it, I don't need the switch itself.

Thanks

Re: Wheeler Dealers 21.1

Apparently Edd let (a relatively low degree of) fame get to his head and became hard to work with. I liked the shows with Edd and I like the shows with Ant, but given the Alfa Romeo Spider Quad they worked on I don't think Italian convertibles are their forte. I figured the FIAT one would be much th...

Favorite body filler / glaze?

I have used the evercoat rage fillers and their glazes in the past, anything better hit the market? I don't love Bondo brand, too much sanding involved and it seems to trap a bit of air.

Re: Favorite way to protect your driveway (engine cleaning)

A huge plastic tray under the car, wet the driveway in advance, etc

New driveway I just wouldn’t do the initial degreasing there, I’d go to a pressure wash or do it in the street

Wheeler Dealers 21.1

Has anyone seen the wheeler dealers with the 72 fiat? I have not, just wondering if it’s worth watching. Motortrend only has it on demand and I’m not subscribing for one bad episode - one good episode may be worth the free trial and subsequent spam.

Re: Outer lighting Switch

Probably because it is the dumbest layout one could imagine. I can only think it evolved from a simple off/park/headlight switch (on the dash) to an eventual need for a dipper on the column. FIAT being FIAT, why spend the money for a single integrated switch when you can have two? If its any consola...

Re: ISO 850 factory workshop manual in PDF

The only way to get to a PDF version is for someone to get an original FIAT manual and scan it in, then share it. Quite literally everything we have here was done using this method.
