Re: 1974 124 Wagon TC Restoration

Andy, I just got around to looking through your build pics. Great to see a wagon getting some real love! The powertrain will make for a fun ride, no question. And good choice on back-dating to earlier bumpers and side markers. Looks like you're keeping the roof rack? My '68 has a smooth roof, which ...

Re: KYB X1/9 OR 128

Dave,

Can you provide a few measurements? Length of the insert body in particular to determine what strut housing it might fit in. Extended length of the strut rod would be a helpful clue.

Re: Let's blow this popsicle stand!

Hey Joe, I haven't lived on or near Jerome Park Reservoir, but I'm sure we've communicated about 124s over the years. Only sedan I've had (and have) is Carl/Don's former '74 track day car. I did have a '72 wagon back in the 1998-1999 timeframe or so, which got parted out when I picked up the '68 wag...

Re: Let's blow this popsicle stand!

Congrats Court! Good luck at the new job and with the move. Remember, put the heavy stuff in the back first I had to restrain myself from weighing boxes and building a spreadsheet to determine proper loading of the Uhaul trailer. ;) It worked out ok anyway, heh. The car stuff and equipment might re...

Wow! Sue and I have a condo in Arlington, MA so maybe we can intersect somewhere up there sometime. Looking forward to hearing about the new gig, too!
You bet, Mike! It would be great to see you both. Maybe I'll have some good work stories by then ;)

Re: Let's blow this popsicle stand!

Good luck Courtney! That is a bold move, especially having started in CA, right? On the other hand, life is an adventure. Guess we won’t be meeting up to ride bikes around here. Thanks, Chris! Yeah, I'm a long way from CA... But new experiences are a good thing. Don't count out the bike rides. I'm ...

Re: Let's blow this popsicle stand!

I was hoping to get a bit further along completing some of the car projects before moving but no such luck. I'm trying not to think about the shop move too much... It certainly is daunting!

Let's blow this popsicle stand!

I always figured I'd be heading west again at some point, but after a little over 10 years in the South, a surprise job opportunity has given me reason to try out a new corner of the country. Loaded my junk and two cats and had fun moving with a 2WD pickup and U-haul trailer through the snow to Esse...
