Re: How many 128 owners in mira land?

Andy, that is a super nice ride. I'm fixing to redo the suspension on my street car. Can you talk a bit more about the rear coilovers? I don't much about them. Chris Hartman said they were built with DIE (DEI?) springs. I'll see if I can snap some pics and post them. Court, I still have a front swa...

Re: How many 128 owners in mira land?

The front end is making a roaring sound on the right side, possibly a wheel bearing. Exploratory surgery coming up. But because I suffer from a case of "while I'm in there" I want to upgrade to Konis and am looking at the Midwest Bayless Koni coilovers for the front. This is where my ignorance abou...

Re: How many 128 owners in mira land?

On the topic of guages/rally stuff, I think either I wasn't clear or I'm not understanding....I have some "Rally" gauges for it...speedo/tach & side gauges for fuel, etc. but haven't installed them. In truth, all of that would be pretty simple to do with the only real challenging bit being space is...

Re: 128 Series Microfilms Added to Library

Thanks, Brad! Works for me now. Nice reference to have in digital form. I have a 1974 version that is a real tome (3.5" thick binder) - it covers sedan, wagon, coupe, and X1/9 - and includes interior and body panels/trim that these manuals seem to be short on. If your scanner ever gets hungry, let m...

Re: Coolant bleeder

Twin Cam I assume? Is this on a carb'd engine where no FI coolant sensor is required or something? I was looking at doing the (sort of) reverse - adding a boss for a water temp gauge sender to that tee on my pushrod wagon. That way the original gauge would still function but I could verify temp with...

Re: What a strange C'list add

Report back...just don’t become one of these people (see below) who messaged me yesterday via eBay. (Apparently a photo of the bike built when the bare frame/fork is what is for sale is a problem, even though cycling people buy stuff like this all the time). If he thinks your post is egregious, may...

Re: 128 Series Microfilms Added to Library

I had trouble opening both of these. Acrobat said it was either not supported or a damaged file. Anyone else have issues?

Re: BWA center cap size?

I looked up the info I had on my Sportstars (Sportstar 101, 5 x 13) and they had a 49mm center cap bore. Since Jim's were different, it seems like it would be a good idea to measure to be sure. I have attached a section view with the dimensions for reference.

Re: Any of you guys own a C&C machine? NFC.

Sounds good. Material that thick is easy for any industrial laser or waterjet. If it's not something I could do, I could give you some leads for other places to try. Once you have a .DXF or other CAD file, it's easy to get quoted these days.
