Lovely!

That's the best looking sedan I've seen in ages.

The offwhite color is great!

Re: 1968 850 Berlina...time to downsize

There are so few Berlinas for sale it is hard to price them. There have been a couple on BAT, but they were in very different shape condition than each other and brought divergant bids. Even though I'm not a buyer, I have my own Berlina and would love to see photos of yours. Also consider putting it...

Re: Detonation Problems- Can They Be Beaten?

does a dfev have an accelerator pump on the secondary?
If so, you could change the pump orifice size.

Or rejet the secondary, if you are sure that you're only getting detonation when you open the secondary.

Really, you need need dual IDFs.

Re: Bleed back jet? Questions Questions

Unless you buy a 00 jet size, the bleed back jet / bypass valve/ spill valve-spill jet has TWO holes in it. A larger hole passig the length of the jet and smaller side facing hole. The 00 jet size has one hole - for the main fuel flow into the accelerator pump circuit, but does NOT have the side fac...

Re: timing belt off by half tooth

It is fun to do mental gymnastics to figure out when a belt can be used, why, why not, etc. Cool thought experiments!

But at 17$ for a Gates belt, we should all just replace the thing once removed.

Re: Gearbox removal

Byas I would recommend against removing the back section of the transmission. How about this sequence: 1 - remove the stud that holds the speedo-gear (if there is enough room to use the double-nut method) 2 - remove the speedo cable and tuck it out of the way 3 - remove the cross member from under t...

Re: Electric spiders

"Why would you still need a gearbox?? A gearbox in a "normal" car is basically a torque multiplier. Isn't the torque of an electric motor available instantaneously" I was thinking about this, and my best thought is ease of installation. Perhaps hooking an electric motor to the input shaft of the tra...

Re: Electric spiders

Going only by what is written on the linked webpage: That's a whole lot of money, especially since the page suggests you are providing them with the spider. 120 mile range with 176hp makes me think that with "only" 150hp your range could be longer. Drop the power to the stock 100 or so, and you migh...

Is it aluminum or magnesium?

That can change your prep and coating options.

They sure look cool.
