Re: 38mm rear calipers - maybe not my best idea

...As he hasn’t been able to lock up the fronts yet, he has too much rear bias. ------------------------------------------------------- --Karl, rear brake bias could be the case, but we don't know that to be true, and even if true, we don't know the cause of it. I don't favor installing a proportio...

Re: Speedo Drive and Internal Drive Gear

———————————— —Csaba, you are the man!! Just for curiosity, what is the source of that data? Hm, no idea, experience? I made an XL sheet with this info years ago. ----------------------------------------- --Thank you Csaba! I suspect these part numbers must be available somewhere. The Service Manual...

Re: Removing the entire wiring harness - advice?

--Brad, I removed all of the harnesses on my '72 Spider when I restored it. As you've already observed, make notes on routing. --The '72 was pretty much in 3 sections: (1) engine compartment, (2) dashboard, which includes steering wheel, and (3) trunk harness. I just made a few notations on masking ...

Re: 38mm rear calipers - maybe not my best idea

...As I've approached the 200hp mark in the spider, I kind of thought I'd like something a little more efficient though! ...One proportioning valve on the rear circuit, and one on each of the front circuits. Front are matched (obviously) but I couldn't find a dual circuit valve :) -----------------...

Re: 38mm rear calipers - maybe not my best idea

Jim- Your memory is better than mine! But it doesn’t surprise me since 2011 is around the time I lowered the car and I suspect the rear valve setup stopped working then, because I used the shop manual spec to set the lever, and that spec is keyed to the car at the stock height. I’m going to have to...

Re: 38mm rear calipers - maybe not my best idea

--Carl, I tried to search the topic of 38mm rear calipers, under author "TonyK", on the Xweb and I came up empty handed. Maybe someone else may know their way around that site better than I? I'm not a Lancia Scorpion guy either, but I think these 38mm calipers were used on the Lancia Scorpion, and t...
