Upgrading to better seats is a sensible safety precaution, my RX7 seat actually rest against the roll bar. I sit a little higher than stock but the sea...

Re: Would you 205/60r13 or 185/70r13 on 13x6 wheel ?

As long as we are on the subject, I bought these in 1978ish. They are 5 1/2 x 13. Made in Italy. They were only popular for 45 minutes or an hour because I have never seen another set. Does anyone know anything about them? There was a set on my 79 I bought many years ago, they held up well but aged...

Re: 1981 124 Spider with Pininfarina hardtop.

I have to admit I do like the seats, any details?

KD - let us have our fun, it's not much but it's all we've got when our cars are up on blocks.

Re: Charging system upgrade question

West Marine stocks the wire in green and lugs in the appropriate sizes, thanks that good to know. They're actually a good source for all things auto electrical, boat people do some severely custom things to their systems. The stock of wire by the foot and electrical widgets far outstrips any auto o...

Re: Charging system upgrade question

Mine came with a stack of washers to shim out the upper bolt, works fine.

BTW - I upgraded to an 8ga wire, West Marine stocks the wire in green and lugs in the appropriate sizes, about $11 out the door.

Charging system upgrade question

So after a long hiatus recovering from knee surgery I'm finally back to wrenching on my machine. I got the gear reduction starter I've been shelf aging in and I'm moving on to the 95 amp alternator. This raises the question of the cable that runs between the two to feed power back to the battery - i...
