One of the Chinese Webers I had had material blocking it. Maybe the Spainish ones are made in China?
Well I have to complicate things a bit by saying that I replaced the faulty venturi with one from a Chinese knockoff carb. Make of that what you will.

Re: Weber 32/36 DFEV Air Leak?

Pull out the primary auxiliary venturi and make sure it's not in backwards. They can easily be installed backwards which will then block the fuel flow. They are spring loaded and you can either pull it out or gently tap it out from the underside. You win the prize Carl. It appeared to be on correct...

Re: Weber 32/36 DFEV Air Leak?

So I've let the carb body sit overnight in chem dip and rinsed it this morning, spraying it out with carb cleaner and then compressed air. I decided to swap jets and emulsion tubes with the old carb too. I could force air through both passages no problem. I assembled the carb and put it back on the ...

Re: Weber 32/36 DFEV Air Leak?

The accelerator pump is definitely spraying, so I'm leaning towards a clog in the primary circuit somewhere. The carb was pretty clean in the bowl, but you know how that goes. Hopefully nothing a little bath in noxious chemicals can't cure.

Weber 32/36 DFEV Air Leak?

So I just got a Spanish Weber 32/36 DFEV from Carl and I'm having some trouble with it. The carb itself looks to be freshly rebuilt and in great shape, but I ran through every nook and cranny with carb cleaner and swapped the jets with some I know to be safe. Setting it at idle is a breeze, nothing ...

Re: Tinted Windows 124 Spider

The glass in my '79 is tinted all the way around from the factory, so it may be earlier than '80 that it was standard. My car was relatively well optioned though.

Re: Seat Foam

Hi Steve, what sort of heated seat kit are you referring to? Where did you get it? That sounds fantastic. As for Ralphcap's question, the only source I've found for new foam is Mr. Fiat, but his prices are pretty outrageous. If you're willing to dish out, then feel free. I, however, was not, and I d...

Getting Into the Yugo Game!

Hey everyone, I came across an '87 Yugo GV and an '88 GVL on Craigslist for dirt cheap and I couldn't help but buy them. The GV is in great shape, with a near perfect interior and rust limited to a dime-sized hole in the driver's side fender. The engine is well-maintaned as well, with all vacuum lin...
