Door glass height adjustment - 82 Spider

The passenger door glass on my 82 Spider with power windows in the fully closed (up) position leaves it slightly too high and as a result, it hits the convertible top edge when I open and close the door. Is there any glass height adjustment (like an adjustable bump stop of some sort) within the door...

Re: Misc. 124 Spider Parts

That would be the driver's side boot end cap. Of course, Murphy's law prevails as I need the opposite side piece.

Re: Steering box removal

It's my understanding all you have to do is remove the top nut on the driver side motor mount. Then lift that side of the engine with a floor jack enough to slide the gearbox up and out.

Re: Engine mount question

Rock Auto is selling the Volvo 164 motor mounts for as little as 2.49 each:

Re: Relay wiring madness

I would recommend 3M brand 33+ or 88 tape. Years ago I worked at an underground coal mine and the 33+ was the go to tape. If it can hold up in the salt water underground, it'll do great under the hood.

Re: Replacing door wire 'looms' on 82 Spider

Thanks guys,
After pursuing one of Brad's electrical manuals, I do see there is indeed a pair of disconnects behind the lower front splash panel in the door.

Replacing door wire 'looms' on 82 Spider

One of my many upcoming tasks will be to replace the wire protection 'looms' in the door hinge area of my 82 Spider. These looms are rubber sleeves that protect the wires that run to the power windows. Obviously, to replace them, I will have to disconnect the wires either under the dash OR in the do...

Re: Need very thin valve shim

Carl, I have 3 of 4 ea of all the thinner shims starting with the 2.55mm (.100"), 2.60mm (.102") and so on through the 3.00mm (.118"). I have most all of the thicker ones as well. I'd gladly swap out a few with you as needed. Just let me know.
Thanks

Emergency window regulator handle for power windows

In the glove box, the later Spiders with power windows came with what they call a 'regulator handle' that could be used in case there was a power window motor failure. It is missing in my 82 Spider. Does anybody have a spare one available? Pic attached
