Re: AS Spider

I don't think she chose automatic transmission, I think that's a CL default entry- the shift knob looks like a manual (5 speed?) by the listing, it's a FWD fiat 500 too; at least they got the convertible part right! This would be a good parts car, a lot of disassembly work is already done, just a ta...

Re: Clutch went CLUNK

Good chance you popped some strands (most likely at the pedal end) in the cable; the remainder stretched a little bit so no, it doesn't disengage completely; a few more pushes should sever it. I had this happen about 35 years ago to my '75 124CC, but I was closer to 10 miles from home, had to drive ...

OK Nolan,
I hope you haven't just posted and run away, but I would appreciate a response to either this posting or the PM I sent; I don't know why you would join a forum and then just disappear.

Re: Selling my 1979 Fiat Brava

It looks like a few Fiattisti will be going to the Beaches cruise-in @ PIR August 1st; we meet in north Portland and convoy to the track (off the freeway) from there if you'd like to join us...

Thx George for the invite- should I relay to MM? I was just out there last week; would be nice to have a group to go with!
Have not heard back from Nolan.

Hi Nolan,
Welcome to the club, no spitting on the floor.
Where in Oregon are you? I live in Portland, and have a '72 sport coupe that came without an engine, so I'm interested, let's talk.

Re: new to 124's

I was just looking at parts listings and see that late '78 to '85 panhard rods had a "kink" for differential clearance. Could you have one of these, Odie?

Re: new to 124's

Thanks Brad, I suspected something of the sort, just wanted to ease my confusion.
I also have a 124 project (mine's a sport coupe), after just doing the MC/ pedal box job on my '86 X, so am very interested in other projects progressing similarly.
