Re: new to 124's

I was just looking at parts listings and see that late '78 to '85 panhard rods had a "kink" for differential clearance. Could you have one of these, Odie?

Re: new to 124's

Thanks Brad, I suspected something of the sort, just wanted to ease my confusion.
I also have a 124 project (mine's a sport coupe), after just doing the MC/ pedal box job on my '86 X, so am very interested in other projects progressing similarly.

Re: Old Volvo, cute as a puppy

My "daily driver" is a 1970 Volvo 145 station wagon (since 1989); engine mostly stock B20F (2000cc), without FI, has a Weber 38DGES and an overdrive trans from a '74- stock about 120 HP, mine feels a good bit more sprightly. I wouldn't bother with an engine swap for less than a V8.

Re: $1,000 124 coupe

I'm an older guy, it's very strange to me to be able to find this kind of documentation on a car I didn't get from a friend; I hope I can do it justice! Kinda waiting for weather at this point.

Re: $1,000 124 coupe

Thanks guys! I couldn't find anything else about it either; just picked it up in the last couple of days, hadn't researched it yet, thought it best to just ask.

Re: $1,000 124 coupe

Attn C Granju, This is the same blue coupe you featured on "fiataccompli" in 2009, complete with weird wheelcover and blue-painted doorhandle; Chad started a resto-thread on fiatspider in 2010. I'm making arrangements for a 2L motor. Have I read correctly (elsewhere) that late Spiders had a 6-speed ...

Re: $1,000 124 coupe

OK thanks Dave; I'd heard something was special about them, but didn't know what. I'm just looking to make a good driver to start, then worry about pretty, then performance "upgrades"- I have my built X1/9 for fun meanwhile. George wants to do side-by-side restorations; I don't know if I have the pa...
