Re: Argenta Turbo engine bearings?

I believe that tri-metal bearings wee used in 132 blocks as used in the volumex cars (i.e. supercharged 2 liter spiders, Argenta, Beta, etc) A quick google search did not turn up vendors that supply these but they are still available for my integrale motors (might be the same since they are based o...

Re: Argenta Turbo engine bearings?

The extra info about the engine was given after I contacted the seller offline. Search for "Venollia" and you'll find how I initially found him. Not interested in doing anything proactively, but definitely will if he tries to sell something else.

Re: Argenta Turbo engine bearings?

So no added value like a seller of this site led me to believe (as with a couple more critical items), primarily a block (that was scored and piited), that was sold with forged pistons (compression ratio misrepresented) and new (supposed Total Seal rings), where use of new ring led me to believe tha...

Re: Argenta Turbo engine bearings?

Ok, so were the bearings any better than a non supercharged engine. Can one visually tell the difference?

Argenta Turbo engine bearings?

Hi all, I bought a block from a seller on this board that represented that the engine had Argenta turbo engine bearings. First of all, what is special about these bearings? I read somewhere that they are ceramic? Second, how can one visually verify if the bearings are Argenta? I am trying to verify ...

Re: 2 Liter standard over bore sizes and sources

Ok - dug deeper, looks like Vicks sells some 84.8 10.2:1 pistons. Any one know a source for something a bit less than this 9:8 or 9.5:1

2 Liter standard over bore sizes and sources

So I am building two 2 liter blocks, one will be a racing engine is being bored to fit some forged 84.6 mm Venollia pistons. The 84.6 mm pistons are coming from a second block that will need to rebored to the next standard over bore. Question is what is the next standard over bore be (84.7, 84.8?) a...

Re: Cold air intake install

It looks sharp. Glad it sounds good for you. Is there room to raise it up a little? Are your filters currently mesh screens on the stacks? From carb top to the top of the air intake housing its about 2.25 inches (allows for an inch or so high horns). The carbs are raised about 1/4 inch when mounted...
