Re: Daydreaming a 2 litre

Fiatrn @cstorry - since Deltas aren't common here, I've never had the chance to ride in one that has had the balancers removed. On Lancisti.net I've read some opinions on them being just as smooth. Where are you that you have such access to Deltas? Want to send me a long block? Ha! I live near Ottaw...

Re: Daydreaming a 2 litre

Interesting how perspectives differ Here's my little collection of balance shafts removed from my integrales ! http://pics.forzavx.com/balanceshaft.jpg My motivation was to go for wider cambelt after suffering a piston to valve collision (approximately 25k km on belt). The belt did not break just sh...

Re: Daydreaming a 2 litre

I've got a couple Lancia integrale engines. Why do you think they are more turbo-able than the "vintage" twincam engines ? Sure the integrale's came with turbos but they are also transverse mounted. Unlike the "vintage" engines which were used in a myriad of longitudinal and transverse mountings I a...

Re: Late (Pininfarina) Spider Seat Questions

I thought they were the same - Euro model Pinin Spider 2000 (or whatever their official name was after 1982) and the Alfa (at least of the North American models) from the 83-85 era. I think the Alfa stiching pattern on the covering was slightly different but the seat bases, controls and seat belt ho...

Re: Custom Front Brakes w/Wildwood radial mount calipers

Ralph To be clear I am referring to the Rally Design website As soon as I select any item I get Your IP Address indicates that you are in the United States or Canada and we are currently unable to sell into those countries. Re: Custom Front Brakes w/Wildwood radial mount calipers

great article

Interesting website - unfortunately they say they can not sell to US and Canada (supplier agreements or insurance I suppose).

I have run into this with a couple suppliers from the UK (unfortunately as the UK has some great motorsport companies and products)

Re: Expired Engine at Tremblant

Is anyone familiar with getting a liner or sleeve made for cast block like the lampredi twincam engine ? I have heard anecdotally that the machining costs can outweigh a replacement block ... What oversize are you at now ? How much more "oversize can you go to put in a liner ? How thin can liners be...

the ones on my truck stripped and the lock would not longer work - I welded a bolt onto the lock and removed them all and repalaced with :regular" wheel nuits

Re: Fiat 132 spindles and brakes on 124?

P.S. the volumex used the same A arms but bumped the bottom one out 10mm or so

The bolts on the crossmember are longer to accommodate this

That combination appears to work well, at least felt good to me every time I drove it :) and over any bumps

Re: Fiat 132 spindles and brakes on 124?

These are exactly the spindles on a 124 volumex spider

On the volumex spider the brakes are vented and the calipers also different (from either pre-85 or 85.5) but that's a different story

The bump stop on the volumex is also shorter
