Marelli to Bosch Alternator Conversion

Post by skpens » Wed Aug 16, 2017 9:43 pm

My ’73 124 was converted to a 65 amp Bosch alternator a long time ago. The “Battery Charge Indicator Relay” was left in place and I am removing it. Two of the relay’s terminals have white/black stripe wires that seem to go to ground. I think I remember reading that those wires can be cut off but I’m thinking why not ground them to a stud on the fender.

Any reason not to ground the white/black stripe wires to the car body?
