Sidemarker lights: 1972 124 Coupe

Post by RicardoIII » Sat May 19, 2018 2:36 pm

Complete set of side marker lights from my 1972 Coupe. I decided at the very last minute to have the body shop fill in the four side marker rectangular holes of my coupe prior to painting and thus I have two red (rear) and two amber (front) complete (reflectors/metal/rubber) units left over sitting on my bench. They have been bead blasted, painted, cleaned and the lenses polished. They turned out very nice but, again, I decided not to use them since I like the clean smooth look of the bare body sides. I may decide to install the small round front amber lights later on, or I may not. Let me know if there's any interest in this restored original set off my 1972 Coupe which probably fit other years and maybe other models. I'm thinking $100 plus actual shipping/mailing.

--Ricardo, if you are inclined to install the small, round front marker lights it would be a good idea to do it before the car is repainted. When the old square markers are blanked off, a plate is welded in the opening, and if the welds are not ground sufficiently, the thickness of the welding behind the fender can interfere with the installation of the round marker. It's best to do this in primer to ensure the best fit, and without disturbing the new paint.

Jim,
Yes, still have the lights stashed away. If you want them, email me at <landeira@colorado.edu> and we'll go from there. I'm seldom at this website.
thx
Ric
