Four bolt test pipe

Post by bark » Mon Dec 17, 2018 1:07 pm

OK, now that I no longer own a Spider, it's time to move the stash along. First up, a brand new four bolt test pipe, used to replace a catalytic converter. Brand new, never fitted. $100 plus shipping.

I should have my head examined as I'm interested......and sold it to you last year.

Yes indeed you did! I just sold my Spider and, try as I might, it won't fit on the 128. I've taken very good care of it, so would you like it back?

What year(s) is it for? I've seen two varieties on vendor sites, early and late models...

It's for the fuel injected Spiders. The X1/9 has a 4-bolt converter also, but is a different length.

Yep, Sam's correct. Earlier test pipes have a three bolt flange, and later ones for FI Spiders have a four bolt flange.

Well, I need to move it so I posted it to some facebook pages for $110 tonight. Retails for $130 from the vendors.

Good luck, should go quickly. I'm still contemplating the first move on my suspension rebuild. Meaning I have the Koni's and springs in the garage and fear of getting started as I'm afraid it'll snowball...My confidence level isn't up to lining both of these projects up yet :(

I put yellow Konis on my car. Best mod I ever did. I did not change out the springs after that because it rode and handled perfect for what I did with the car. The test pipe is easy peasy, as are the shocks. Rear springs simple, front springs very tricky and dangerous. Best of luck!
