It never occured to me that this cable was too short. It was a generic set of cables that i had cut each to size and affixed the appropriate connectors (pre Auto Ricambi days, wasn't motivated to purchase from IAP or Caribou). Thinking back i don't think the set had a long enough length to be routed around the coolant bottle. Come springtime i'll look into researching a wire that's long enough. (just that i'm biased to that color yellow!)
As for the horns, they've been in that location forever.

Thank you all for the advice. I rerouted the main ignition cable so that it goes around the coolant bottle. Hopefully this solves the cable from unplugging itself. Is it standards compliant that the cable is routed along the wire looms and against the inner fender? Is it prone to eventually create an electrical interference? What was the protocol when assembled at the factory?
