Bosch ignition module for Yugo

Post by johninsacto » Sun Dec 24, 2017 8:21 am

I am looking for the ignition control module (called "transistor" in the Bosch parts book) for an X 1/9 or Yugo.
It is mounted on a heat sink usually on the firewall and has 6 male prong connectors coming out the bottom. Part numbers are:

0 227 300 123 or
0 227 100 029

Bosch used modules with that connector on a lot of different cars, probably there are a bunch you could use.

FWIW most modules work in a similar way, so if you know which connector goes where you can make almost any module work with most electronic distributors.

As Csaba says, Bosch parts tend to be used in many European cars. The best way to find them is to search using the Bosch part number on the piece. Your ignition part reads 0-227-100-123. Here is a typical hit using that part number on eBay:

You can use a GM HEI 4 pin module. I'm using the 5 pin equivalent on my Yugo and Spider for ignition retard.

Hopefully you can cut through all the pop up ads on Photobucket. I've stopped using them months ago after they wanted to charge people $20 a month for 3rd party hosting. Now they are bombarding people with pop ups. I just haven't found a new place to store my photos yet.
