Plastic part at top of steering switchs

Post by mamsterla » Sun Feb 04, 2018 8:17 pm

My plastic part labeled Cavis Art 789 has some breaks. If anyone has one lying around, let me know.

It looks like this:

I was also going to ask if there is a spacer. It seems like there is a bit of a gap between this piece and the switchgear. Is there a spring behind the steering wheel?

Pull the microfilm and you'll see how it is assembled. The microfilm is in the library. How the wheel is assembled (and the column) depends on the series of Spider and the wheel you have.

That is the turn signal cancelling mechanism from a mid-72 or earlier Spider. I don't think it's supposed to come off. Likely you'd need a new/used column switch.
