124 Limited Slip Differential.

Post by SimcaBertone66 » Fri Feb 24, 2017 10:20 am

Well after an eternity(at least 20 years) of searching, looking in some dubious places(Russian sourced LSD's for LADA Niva ) , asking questions. I have not one but two LSD in the pipeline for the race car.
One is from Ron Horrowitz that he advertised on Mira months ago( a pig in a poke) and another is one is being built by Phantom Grip in Florida. They are clutch type that uses preloaded springs. Check out their web site for details. I have refused to use a welded spider gears as most are forced to do that race 124's. Any interest among this crew for LSD's for their cars?

--Joe, as you may have seen in the Tech section, under "Replacing Diff", Ted and I are using the Torsen LSD. I believe the Baucoms are as well.
So far, results have been excellent.

I have a couple of used LSD's for sale. One would be better for racecars, as the disengagement is a bit rough, the other would be good for street cars. Email me if interested.
