What a stunning looking car. I like the bag of snakes exhaust on that motor.

Thanks Carl.... that is a real Abarth header and muffler. When I first got the car in 2012 it still had all the multicolored Abarth paper stickers on it .... duh.....hey were supposed to burn away with use and they sure did

I'll say it - this is one of the very few attractive cars that Bertone designed. Making the total 3: X1/9, Muira, Simca.

Agree, Bertone had a few, lets say "odd" looks over the years, but I always accepted them as just another flavor in river of forward looking "art" for arts sake...... but that said when I first saw one for sale on eBay , I said to self.....oh a Fiat 850 with very elegant bodywork.... it was not for from home and it was mine for a little $$ and complete restoration is begun fast forward 6 moths, motor is totally seized ... so looking for parts or anything Simca on Hemming's I found my present car and brought it after Don Tuscany gave it a good looking over. Owner as another Wisconscon vintage racer who liver near to Don..... the rest is history. Sold the first on for what I paid to a guy(he had 2 Simca 1000 Bertone Coupes and a 1200S

So Joe, do you ever own just beater rides? I remember your spider from the West Virginia Freakout and while not a beater it had that "I use this car all the time and I'm not afraid to drop a wrench on it" look. Since then you have had nothing but really perfect Euro cars.

It's OK. I will continue to act as your opposite auto balance, my Fiats look like plenty of wrenches have been dropped on them.
