I have a few cars living off-site at the moment, but generally it's nice that people lose track of the total number of bikes & cars here.

I recall the time my now-ex called me at work & said she had gone downstairs to do laundry and saw a car..."it says "X one ninth on the back," she said. "Do we own this?" By the. It had been there a few weeks (no idea why it took so long for her to see it), so I just said, yeah I've had it a while. This was also in the era when lots of people did not know what Fiats were (late 90s), so when someone asked her once what a Fiat is, in response to her saying I was into them as a hobby, she said," they are these dirty things that get in your basement and multiply." Sadly, the fun of that all ends about then, but thankfully this was prefaced with the key adjective "ex"! These days, Mrs G and I have a pretty good balance. It will be much better eh we are back on track for garage construction.

Here I thought I was the only one washing parts in the dishwasher and misleading my wife on the number of cars we have (not necessarily or legally own).
I bought my wife an ultrasnic cleaner for her jewelry, the fact that is is large enough to hold a carburator was just a happy coincidence...

No matter how stupid or sneaky you think you are, there are other folks here even worse....although you won't get any mileage telling your wife that.

The only reason Im still married is because of that fact. Im happy to count Shaun Folkerts among my friends.... and when ever Diane raises an eyebrow about our current car count I show her a photo of the "garage-ma-hall".

We should all have a big 8x10 of his garage to use as a get out of jail free card.

periodically, I remind my wife that when we first started dating I owned something like 14 cars. Only 8 or 9 were at the house though....

The old "before I was married to you I......" carries little weigh with a wife! They think it just proof we really were idiots and they have saved us.

Imagine the trouble we would all be in if they had not saved us.

Carl, i try to tie it back to the wife's original decision-making, sort of helping her take responsibility for her own decisions. Then, leveraging in the fact that the total count today appears to be lower shows progress, thus implying a failure to recognize effort on my part to make things all nice & pretty! Haha
