That is a wicked cool idea … back in the day my friend Roger Hoffman had a cool little, tricked out GT4 128 …. not a project of the faint of heart or shallow pockets ...lol

Darn, I've been looking for a Fiat candidate for a team Fiat Lemons car! This one would break the price rules though. Great car!

What are the price rules? How does it need to qualify? Enquiring minds want to know

The car cannot cost more than $500, except for:

Wheels, tires, wheel bearings, balljoints, and brake components
Exhaust systems downstream of the header/exhaust manifold (NOTE: Turbos and related components are NOT exempt from the $500 limit. Nice try.)
Windshields and wipers.
Driver comfort & information (steering wheel, shifter, gauges, pedals, cool suits, vents, heaters, radio)
All fuel hoses, fuel fittings, fuel filters, and related mounts
All fuel-system components upstream of the fuel pump, including tanks/cells, mounts, fillers, vents, etc.
And the rll cage.

So I'm thinking I can make this work, the roll cage is easily $600, I can figure out the rest I'm thinking. I need to measure the wheelbase though: the minimum is 82 inches.

Wheelbase is fine for Lemons- 96 inches.

I wouldn't apologize for lack of a dual carb setup. I ran a 32/36 Weber my first two years, and properly tuned, it was just 1-2 seconds off my lap times with twin DCNFs. Actually had better throttle response.

Big questions for potential buyers:
1. Does it have a windshield and rear window?
2. Do you have a header?

Actually pretty quick with a stock 128, X1/9, or Yugo short block. Great race motor- revs to the moon. Key mods are PBS big valve head, a hot cam, oil baffle, heavier oip pump bypass spring, and and a header. Coilovers, lack of springs and perches not a big deal. More important is what's inside the struts? Konis. perhaps?

If it were in the Midwest, I would be over there next weekend with a trailer and cash. Sigh....
