Centrifugal oil filter

Post by SimcaBertone66 » Fri Jul 06, 2018 12:47 pm

Anyone still running an 850 or 1438 TC that still uses a centrifugal oil filter ? Providing you have an OP reading notice anything differences in OP readings compared to an engine with a spin on filter ?

My centrifugal cars never read much OP, maybe 14psi at most. I typically had to open up the hole in the pressure sender to make it read right.

My '71 has the stock centrifugal oil "filter" and oil pressure has always been comparable to what I've seen in other cars with modern spin-on filters.
