Turn Signal stalk 4326984

Post by bjbrown » Thu Jul 12, 2018 6:57 pm

I bought a NOS turn signal stalk mechanism (turn signal switch, hi/lo beam switch, wiper/washer control switch) and was planning to use it if the one that came out of my car when I started the restoration wouldn't work. I'm having trouble getting the turn signals to work and wanted to use this NOS part to test the circuitry vs. the old switchgear. However, as I was cleaning it up from years of sitting on the shelf, I noticed that it has three connectors instead of the two (and a single wire) on my 1980 Spider EFI. Otherwise, it appears identical to the original one in my car. The inventory tag was still on this switch mechanism and is labeled part number 4326984. Anyone have a database of old Fiat part numbers? I have a copy of the microfiche which describes the interior and exterior of the 2000 series Spider cars but it doesn't contain any info on electrical parts.
