I'm sure our favorite Fiat parts vendors sell motor mounts, try Auto-Ricambi. I have no idea how good or bad current Fiat motor mounts are.

The "short" motor mount with a small locating lugs on top and bottom looks very similar to a Volvo 240 mount. You must cut the lugs off to use them in a 124.

Concur, that's a Volvo mount and it looks like AR carries them.

The "short motor mount" resembles a Volvo 240 RH mount, the LH mount has offset studs on the faces, not centered on the rubber. A Volvo 140 mount has the studs centered, without the "cut it off" locating pin; available from IPD USA for $9.95; there's a heavy duty version for the Volvo 164 (I use these for my 145) for $10.95.
I expect be using the 164 mounts to install a 2L motor in my '72 124 Sport Coupe.

I have used Volvo mounts twice an in both instances it had centered studs and the added stud I had to cut off.

Here are pictures of a new 164 mount; it measures just under 41mm thick. No locating pins, heavy duty.

I think they also have 5mm spacers welded on the top mounting area of the late cross members to lower the cross member as well.
Yes, but the part of the crossmember that holds the motor mounts was taller, so it actually did not change the position of the engine measurably.
I found this out the hard way when I put a 2 liter crossmember into a Coupe to try and lower the engine. It did not lower it...

--Jeff, I like that! Does that 41mm measurement include the steel spacer on the end as well? In any case, that would be the shortest motor mount of the bunch! Suitable for many applications!

--Got a part number for the 164 mount?

41mm is from face to face, including the hex plate. Volvo #1206612.

Their price seems competitive; local to me, no shipping (part of why I got into Volvos 30 years ago).
