+1 on the modern Nissan valve.
In all fairness it was Andy who discovered the part. There are also very cheap knock offs of the Bosch unit but they don’t seem to work well. The Nissan one works perfectly.

Ah, so its a Standard Motor Products AC366 'Idle Air Control Valve'. Brilliant!

Richard, maybe that's one worth noting for your Bosch FI part number document...

We use the actual OEM Nissan part. Can't comment on the aftermarket one.

So the Nissan P/N is 22660-45P00, which can be had for about the same amount as the Standard Motor part...

We bought an worn out Datsun 1978 280Z motor and used the similar AAV in my 2000 Fiat.
The thermal time switch exchanges also but mine is still good ; the AFM might not exchange but would plug in. The Datsun AFM does not control fuel pump that I can see.
I think the AAV resistor in different cars heats up faster or slower, so the AAV is open for a slightly different amount of time.
It closes pretty fast, I think less than a minute so I was not concerned if it was open a bit to long or short.
As an aside I thought my thermal time sensor was bad but a new double relay fixed that.
